Personal posts and reflections.
Just some updates on my new job.
After being unemployed for much of the summer, I finally have a job! But how will it stack with writing, school, and life in general?
I had a successful first newsletter promo with Bookfunnel, I finished editing my book, and finalized the cover!
I’m still being paid by my job until the end of July, and then I get my severance pay. I’m taking this time to relax and focus more on my Kindle Vellas and WIPs.
Well, it's official! My last day of work came earlier than expected, on Wednesday. There was too much dust flying around the store.
I settled on a title and cover for my upcoming Kindle Vella, about a con artist mage and their giant spider companion.
I personally don't see what all the hype is about, and don't really incorporate it into my own work. I feel like an outlier, in that my protagonists don't often have friends, and of the ones who do, they aren't always platonic.
Originally written before I was diagnosed with autism, I go into detail about an old habit of mine.
I stopped getting invited to things long before that, but I still had other “friends” and groups to keep me entertained. But even those friends and groups started to fall off, leaving me with the empty shell that was once my main friend group.
