Life Goes On

I’m still being paid by my job until the end of July, and then I get my severance pay. I’m taking this time to relax and focus more on my Kindle Vellas and WIPs.

I've had a very busy month:

  • Filing unemployment claims
  • Battling allergies (I'm off shots) and other health issues
  • Job hunting
  • And as always, writing!

I’ll start with the more exciting news, and that’s writing. I’m almost done with the first draft of my WIP–only a chapter or two to go! And then I’ll let it sit for a week or two before diving into revisions and edits. Sure, it might be easier to do one first and the other later, but I’m also the kind of writer who likes to edit at the same time.

It’s just more time efficient for me. I’ll still comb over it one last time before finalizing things, but this is just how my process works.

I’d also like to work on my reader magnet / prequel short story, featuring one of the MC’s love interests and a ton of grief.

That aside, I’m still looking for work, and doing my part time ad rating job (it’s like 30 minutes out of my day). I’m still being paid by my job until the end of July, and then I get my severance pay (yay!). I’m taking this time to relax and focus more on my Kindle Vellas and WIPs, and explore passive income.

I’m not generating actual income at the moment, just making designs so I have an edge when I start posting these next month. I’m getting a monthly trial for an automated service, and see if I can gain any traction in the next few months. It’s a $30 monthly commitment after the trial, and I may or may not have the money to justify the costs.

But it would be nice to have extra money on the side. Or ya know…as a main source of income.

We’ll see.

In terms of health, I think my seasonal allergies have improved. I’ve been able to forgo my mask and spend hours hiking or just hanging out on my balcony. I think it’s fall and moldy leaves that are my true nemesis, not pollen. I’m taking some precautions, but my indoor allergies are hurting me the most.

Anyway, I’m eager to tell you more about my WIP! I’ll save that for a newsletter / member exclusive. ;)
