CH 8 — Eisbaer

After having a fabulous morning, during which Eisbaer found the perfect fabric for Saffron’s cloak, and discounted, to boot, this was the news she came home to?
“Way to marsh my mallow,” she said, draping a damp cloth over her eyes.
The staff was finished, the cloak halfway there. Not that they would be leaving anytime soon.
Saffron, after delivering the news, just lowered its head. Eisbaer didn’t fault the wolf; there was only so much you could do to sway someone. Less so if that someone was a complete stranger…
She refrained from petting it on the head, firmly reminding herself that Saffron was more than a wolf and had boundaries. But that was so hard, seeing it look so despondent, tail curled at its side!
