CH 20 — Eisbaer

Vallens had vemself quite the feast, taking several fastidious bites of a skewered fish, and washing it all down with ver crawfish stew. If not for the little critters, it would’ve been quite appetizing. Ve did prepare a more vegetarian friendly version for Eisbaer, including radishes, carrots, and a number of tantalizing spices and herbs. Eisbaer reserved the berries for dessert, already missing the hearty cakes and sweets from the city shops.

But like Callie, Vallens ignored her last text. Ve were amicable enough around the campfire, the only fragment of hope Eisbaer was afforded. She searched for moments to talk to Eisbaer more directly; Saffron was too entwined with its pork laden sandwich to offer more than brief answers, ears twitching at the slightest noise beyond their camp.
