“It’s not that I’m withholding. I just think it’s too soon, don’t you?” Callie’s long tongue cleaned a streak of aioli sauce from her chin. “Mm, this some good motherfucking sauce. What’d you say this was again?”

“Aioli. It’s like mayo, but better.” Eisbaer was in no mood to get into the nitty-gritty details. She was more invested in this potential entanglement.

“Love me some aioli…and to douse it on turkey burgers? No notes.”

Eisbaer navigated her veggie burger with care, eyes straying to the clearing before them. The longer they stayed here, the more she worried about interlopers. The big boss was bound to pop at any minute.

It was Callie’s idea to order dinner, and the delivery guy (presumably a player) gave them an odd look. No, he was definitely a player…NPCs were too willing to overlook odd moments such as these.

“Callie, I like you. But if we’re going to explore something more, I’d like the courtesy of knowing your government name.”
