CH 120 — Watching The Gate

Meike and their familiars hold down the fort.

While the rest of the party trolled the trolls, Meike chose to stay inside, curled up with a good book. Combined, the three adventurers were an unstoppable force, capable of decimating whole populations. Meike, with all their ethical and moral concerns, would only slow them down…

Besides, they were all juiced up on that special tea and Meike's arsenal of buffs.

Vivica opted to hang back, guarding the proximity of the tiny house. All they had to do was peek out the window to know she was near.

They wondered about the logistics of having a small deck installed, and how absurd they'd look from afar, like a human Snoopy lounging on his doghouse. Maybe not the best idea; it would attract the wrong kind of attention.

There wasn't much danger in a town or city, but monsters and bandits were a concern while on the road. And while they were stationed in a small clearing off the main road, Meike didn't want to tempt fate.
