CH 119 — Long Days Ahead

The gang ultimately decided to extend their stay in Saincaster, taking in the festivities, good food, and comfort of the hot spring. Meike had a good time showing off their new tea collection, and even secured a small kettle from the kitchens to sample a few brews.

“Keep it,” Chezor had said with a wink.

The kettle was far from perfect and well-traveled, but it was theirs! And better than no kettle at all. Meike already had plans for it for their upcoming journey. Tea in the morning to start the day, and a small pot for those cozy evenings or to wind down from a strenuous day of quests.

They shamelessly daydreamed of a hot summer day, soaking their feet in a river, just outside of their house, and waiting for that whistle to sound…

But first, they had to make it through winter. Saincaster was a lovely distraction from the journey to come, and Meike would miss it dearly while they were roughing it. Cass already had a new roster of quests for the group to tackle, and none were low stakes.
