CH 109 - "Where's The Beef?"
Finally, the day was here! Meike was feeling refreshed and eager to head out, but there was something they had to do first...
“Where’s the meat?” Pickles asked, side-eyeing the platter of roasted fish. While he was happier to have rabbit and other beasts of the land, Meike had to take Saffron into consideration.
“Fish are meat,” Meike said. “But if you want an alternative…”
They spent the morning collecting the last mushrooms of the season and made a stir fry with some herbs and tender shoots. It wasn’t going to win them any awards, but the meal turned out well.
