First Week of 2023

As you may know by now, I've been in the middle of a move. And we've finally gotten things unpacked and mostly placed away. There's still a few boxes we need to break down and dispose of, but that pile has dwindled to a trivial amount. I've also got a small stack of storage bins near my desk I hope to go through by the end of the week. We've got more storage space, at least! Both in our apartment and a locker on our floor.

That aside, I've been working away at my latest WIP, running my first line of edits and light revisions. I caught quite a few issues I overlooked! I'm using Pacemaker Planner's Text Change Calculator to track my edits, and was surprised to see that not much changes, in regards to word count. I usually shave off 200 words and add the same amount. My total word count was 44k, now it's just under.

I'll do a proper cover and title reveal soon, just needed to get settled. Maybe this weekend?

I know I did a whole series of blog posts for my last book—

Revising the Vampire, week 1
I’m giving myself a month to do the revising, as there’s a lot of material to work with. I think ten chapters a week is a good number—I’m still balancing other stories, after all.

But that won't be the case here. Mostly cause this one is a pretty straightforward story. I also plan to have it released around Valentine's, possibly sooner, so I don't want to draw things out. I originally planned on doing snippets, but I may just send out a sample, instead. First three or five chapters, we'll see.
